  11. Leaf springs and friction dampers... or am I missing something?
     
  12. Possibly not but I can't say I've seen such a set up before. In addition to only using half a leaf spring I can't figure out why the wheels are linked by two solid bars. They can't be both anti-roll bars.

    And what is the linkage/mechanism underneath the larger bar in the second photo?

  14. I think that the swan-necked rod (front and centre in pic #2) connected to the rod running alongside the body is the primary steering turning the off-side wheel. The thicker bar curving under the rad connected to the offside wheel is the steering link from the near-side wheel. The ones under the main axle are tie-rods.

  20. You are quite correct... I finally remembered the car was a Frazer Nash and after a little digging on t'internet found a couple of better photo's.
