  3. I managed 25 miles on my spin bike on Boxing day, I can’t say I enjoyed it unlike yesterday, which whilst was a bit of endurance due to the conditions at least it was fresh air.

  4. I can’t wait

  5. I have no idea what distance I cover in spin class, all I know is I sweat like a Scouser in a spelling test....

  7. That’s 2024 done, passed my 6,000 km target today, no more cycling for this year.

The last few years I’ve made my target entirely based on total miles for that year. I’m undecided about 2025, it might not have a total, but it will include a few bigger rides.

Cheddar Gorge to home, about 60 miles but some challenging climbing
    Loch Ness Etape - April
    Hadrians Wall - June

A Century (miles), 75 is the most I’ve ridden.

  8. I've managed to get eighty odd miles in on the road this week. That'll be it for this year. Busy Monday and Tuesday. Strava year below....

  9. My year in sport was available a couple of weeks ago, but I can’t find it now, how did you do yours ?

  10. I'm approx 2k (strava) miles for the year. Neck and upper back issues have held me back a bit this season, I have to leave a longer recovery period between rides and keep the distance down to ~50miles, or I really have problems, you really don't want to be on pain meds as a long term strategy, especially opioids .
Next year , I'm hoping to be fit enough to ride my new tarmac a lot, if not I'll be on the comfy(er) Roubaix. I'd hope to see the return of the longer rides I was doing pre back issues, inc a few more 100milers and perhaps a few sportives, inc the IOW. I'd love to do the south of England chase the sun, but it's too ambitious atm.
Well done everyone, keep on pedaling...:upyeah:

  14. 13 Miles apparently, this could've been stupid but something to remember the end of 2024.

  17. This applies to every town/city I’ve been to in the last 25 years or so, although the decline seems to have accelerated in the last decade.

  19. Too cold to stop and take pictures but just averaged 21.75 mp* for 44 minutes at (approx average) freezing point, so distance was around 16 miles.** Hands have just come round, which was worse part of the experience. I rested them on top of bars and kept exercising fingers as would have been much worse.

    **battery bike obviously
