New Oldie

  1. I’ve just bought an old Ducati and thought it would be a good idea to investigate forums because I presume these bikes haven’t got any more reliable in the 30 years since I last owned one and I’m going to need help at some point!

I joined the Ducati Owners Club mainly because it made my insurance cheaper, but their forum doesn’t seem to get much use and I couldn’t get my registration to work anyway! I guess everyone is hanging out here.

  6. Thanks guys. It’s taken me 30 years to be able to afford another bevel Ducati. I had an S2 Mille in the early 90s and I’ve regretted selling it ever since. I wanted to get another Mille but they only made about 200 of them and they are unobtanium now… The only one I’ve seen for sale in the last 10 years was in Switzerland.

I part exchanged my daily ride on the SS (a V4 Tuono) and I’m in the process of getting an ST4 to replace it. The Tuono was a bit of a handful at my age and hopefully the ST4 will be a bit more dignified for a man with a pensioner’s bus pass!
