I am unable to get my Hyper to start - I thought it was just a flat battery but have recharged the battery over night with an optimate and when I turn the ignition on and press the start button nothing happens except the indicator light above the neutral light on the display flashes . I have tried jump starting the bike to no avail . The battery is 4 years old. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Moses.
Sorted the problem - there is a fault with the immobiliser so can start the bike by overriding the immobiliser by keying in the code on the card provided when first bought. Had to spend time in the loft to find it. Booked in to dealer for a more permanent fix. Sometimes it pays to read the manual, I could have saved myself a lot of time and effort.
Check the antenna under the ignition key surround. Make sure it is properly located. Also check for water and dry off. Water ingress can block the signal. A new antenna is about £28 and is a DIY job.
