I was once daft enough to say that my bike had had its stock plastic fuel tank replaced with a steel one. They wanted another thousand quid!

How did you secure the rear of the bike when removing the swingarm ? thx

 

Make/use an A frame (engine hoist) to tie up subframe when removing rear swinger or put car jack/block of something under engine. Simples.
Some bike lift stands like ABBA etc can lift whole bike up too.

 

I notice you still need tax discs in Ireland. How quaint

I wanted to do the opposite to my Multistrada 1200s, I wanted the dual sided swingarm. But only because I wanted some tkc80s and take it on some muddy stuff, didn't think the ssa was up to it
