Dear ducatisti, I've bought a Multistrada 950 with some damage. Rode it to my mates workshop and took it apart. Replaced some panels en the headlight. After rebuilding the bike wont start. Got a new battery and looked over all the connections (they are where they should be and connected). I've hooked it up to Melcodiag and got the following fault codes; U0245 Status: 60 C1104 Status: 20 (LED headlight, left low beam error) C1100 Status: 20 Anyone got an idea what it could be?
Are there any errors on the dash relating to the DTC, ABS, DWC and DQS, usually at bottom right? C1100, I think is a wheel speed sensor error. U0245 possibly a CAN-Bus connection/communication issue. These could be related to one issue. I had a rear wheel speed sensor fail and this played havoc with the dash. All of the above 4 functions rely on speed sensors providing coherent information to work effectively, if these are out of range then errors show on the dash. Having said that, the bike still started and ran, just with a dash that had plenty of odd or null readings. A dedicated reader such as an OBDStar is more helpful in this regard as it gives a clearer indication of what the problem is.
There is an error on the screen but I can't tell if it's DTC, ABS, DWC or DQS. I'll gonna check both wheel speed sensors.
just had another look and, on Aprila at least, C1100 error relates to either front wheel speed sensor or ABS pump depending on which web page you're looking at... Couldn't find a definitive answer relating to Ducati with my cursory search.
That's what my google search also came up with. I will look at both but I suspect the front wheel speed sensor (abs sensor). That's one we 100% have disconnected and maybe not correct plugged in.
