I just went for a test ride after a longgggg winter of work, none of which is related to the engine. Upon said test ride, I noticed the yellow engine light was on... The only part that isn't back on the bike is the RH handguard along with the indicator, would this spew out the yellow engine light? Mechanically, the bike was perfect and as though it had just been out the day before! So I'm not too concerned, additionally, it's in with Ducati tomorrow for headstock bearings and anti freeze flush so I'll ask them as well. I'm just curious if anyone knew
Could be a lot simpler... It was bugging me so I decided to do a quick fairing strip to check, made even quicker when I took the seat off to begin the strip, I noticed the vertical cylinder head detector (55243341A) was unplugged.... Oops. I quickly ran it for a min, the error didn't clear (yellow check engine light), but I assume it'll either need manually clearing or it'll go after an extended ride. Outside of the unplugged cable, I can't think of anything else other than the RH indicator not being present.
In my experience* rectified faults do take a few ignition cycles, with riding in-between, to clear. *Rear wheel sensor obscured and battery reached low charge threshold during storage
