The design of the V4 has IMO definitely ensured the maximum distribution and level of road surface crud over both the bike as well as the rider, more than any other bike I've ever owned and believe me, I've owned and ridden a few........
I just never liked the rack, I prefer the weight low over a top box so I never saw the need for the rack and it's just awful to look at IMO. To be fair, after the exhaust, tail tidy and a few other trinkets I should have just got the damn RS That said, I love the engine on the PP, it just suits me better and I'm happy with it and no dry clutch. All the little differences from the previous version add up and feels like a better bike. Can't wait to get this thing run in and serviced Maybe an RS after the inevitable update?
Took the day off today to do something I love, namely taking a long ride on my MTS 1200 Pikes Peak in the sunshine and on some absolutely amazing winding roads up in the mountains here in Norway. That's exactly what these Ducatis are built for. The day's stage was a total of 525 km
first time fully loaded with panniers when I went to the TT, bike rode absolutely outstanding even dare I say it better then my old tiger 800 fully loaded up, got there tent up all hear thrown in then removed the quick release side panniers frame so It didn't look loaded with scaffolding! simply ride beautiful all week we was there and really got to test out the Pirelli angel gt tyres and really impressed with them and never having owned a twin, I was able to get to grips with it and find the sweet spot for riding compared to screaming fireblades!! simply lovely these multistrada's.
