Helmet Visor Tearoffs

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by ducv2, May 1, 2025 at 7:36 PM.

  1. Anybody else use them on the road?
Flies were rife today, it's a pleasure to get perfect vision in a couple of seconds

  2. I would side with any police officer in applying a large fine, barmy idea. Carry some small cleaner fluid ..for the creatures which we actually need to blossom or the bottom whole pyramid of nature fully collapses.

There is an ecocide going on! I turned fifty recently & trying my best to help my local birds, there is next to no insects about.

  3. I tried tear offs on my Shoei X-Spirit III, I have big hands and despite race gloves, it was too much faff. Andy

  4. I do stop before removing one.....

  5. I was discussing recently how few insects appear to end their lives on my windscreen or visor.
Is it the turds in the rivers, lack of habitat or our addiction to agro chems?
Adding a tear off to the roadside rubbish seems less than helpful.
Stopping for a helmet clean makes more sense.

  6. I wonder why you thought i added it to the roadside rubbish?
In between calling for me to be fined for using them and bring accused of being a litter lout I guess the consensus is that no-one uses tearoffs.

  7. Isn’t that what a tear-off becomes? Just more road-side rubbish?

  8. Depends on the person using the tearoff I guess.
