Bsb and wsb this weekend! Six times world champion Jonathan Rea is back for the latter. Should be a decent weekend if you like superbikes.
The weather at Oulton Park looks good, if getting a bit cooler on Monday. We are stationed at Knickerbrook so give us a wave if you are there for the Bank Holiday Andy
Sorry I’m a bit of a lazy bugger when it comes to bsb and an 8 hour round trip isn’t my idea of a fun day out, brands only for me these days. Will be tuned in though, hope you get an easy day in the sun. I suspect the racing will be closer than in Italy but let’s see.
I think the organisers are anticipating mayhem, there will be 15 marshals at Knickerbrook on Monday Andy
Knickerbrook is always tricky - I liked the camber when I rode round there. But at higher speed and with committed overtakes it gets very close.
I wonder if ducati have ever considered replacing Bautista with Toprak when he retires and if Toprak would actually go there. They obviously have the ££££ and they’ve already created the “dream team” in moto gp…

Kenan has been saying they’re looking at Yamaha or Honda, with the latter proposing 2 contracts, one of which will offer a pathway to MGP. They haven’t had a win since 2016 so could work our for everyone…..
Cremona looks like it’s a great circuit to ride. Shortish, zero off camber corners and a straight you can go full welly on. Bet it’s superb on a supersport bike. They were saying it’s open pretty much 7 days a week for track days too.
Zaidi is 4 seconds a lap slower than the leader round a 1:28 circuit. By my reckoning he’s in danger of being lapped in a 20 lap + race. What a farce.
You have to take your hat off to him even though he’s onto a hiding to nothing this weekend. Seven and a half seconds clear of Alvaro in third and gave Nicolo a good go for a few laps at the start. Disappointing from SL after this morning. Something wrong with a Ducati again?
Yeh too much in the end wasn’t it. I know G Haines gets a bit of stick on here but I did like his “the boys at Hinckley must be on the edge of their seats right now” line. We all love a trumpet etc..
Johnny Rea having no luck at all. I’ve not been following sBK that long, first season I watched all through was his penultimate year at Kawasaki. The jump to Topraks old bike seemed to be a good move but he’s not seeming to get his head around it at all. What’s going on there?
Think Honda may have single handedly killed Showa from racing. Years in the weeds, chuck ohlins in, competing for podiums!
