So what have you done today..?

  1. I popped down to Fowlers (Bristol) bike night this evening. Not a normal thing for me to do as I don't like noisy group activities.
I went to say hello & support the Mental Health Motorbike peeps who do a great job at events like this. If just one person is helped by their presence this evening it'll be enough

  4. Spent most of the morning cleaning the house as we have guests coming to stay for the weekend.

Oh and this morning I had my old computer desk collected by the British Heart Foundation :)

  16. We had some friends come and stay last night so we went out for a few drinks and a curry, which was lovely. This morning, after breakfast, we all went for a walk around Northumberlandia. It was a tad fresh to say the least :cold_sweat:

  17. I'd hire a small capacity motorcycle should I return, the cycling was great but if it ain't hilly then it's a headwind. Every road other than an expressway was 30mph and the Japanese stick to it religiously, we witnessed only 3 overtakes the entire trip.

Son is still out there and as he travels North he seems to be moving as the blossoms are showing.

  18. The advantage there id imagine is the Japanese drive on the left
The road signs however must be another story altogether.
How long is your lad planning on staying?

  19. Last day away in the camper, it's been wonderful.

  20. Yes same side makes it easier, road signs weren't really an issue, the limits are painted into the road not that we often troubled those numbers other than on descents some of which involved overtakes, I kid you not. The rest are mostly self explaining TBH.

He plans to return 14/15 June, earlier than was his original plan which was December. His university application went a little South as he's to take an A level Chemistry exam due to his provisional offer for a place at Cambridge.

It's an unfortunate set of circumstances as he had an idea to take the subject in Sixth form but thought it would interfere with his other 3 courses. As it turned out having found those subjects to be easy he could have fitted it in easily, now he's been cramming the subject into 4 Months without support.

Fingers are very much crossed here.
