Mower won’t start , it’s got spark and compression which leaves fuel. Can anyone point me in the direction of what I need to attack to clean/drain the carbs from the below pics please?
I presume you are priming the carb ok? You should be able to tell if fuel is getting through. Check the plug at first - easier than stripping down the carb. See if you have a good spark.
do you have WD40 or similar? Squirt in intake filter for about 3 seconds preferably by another person so you can immediately pull ripcord. At least a cough will confirm it's fuel.
Is it a really good spark? I found with 2 of my mowers that the spark became weaker as it got hotter. Problem were the pickup coils in the magneto ignition. Changed those then first time start
The carb was the silver part under the compression button in the first pic in case anyone was wondering
If you drain the fuel system and loosen the float bowl nut to drain the carb, she will start easy next year. Alternatively, put some fuel preserver in it before you lock it up for the winter. First pull on my Honda this year and she’s romping around the garden!
When mines been stood I find taking the air filter out and it’ll start. Good for the rest of the season after that.
