Anyone Know Of A Carrier That Can Transport An Engine.

  1. After getting a record 80miles out of the sxv before it needed an engine rebuild i tried to send it using DHL...i came back returned with a note stuck to it saying it "smelled of fumes" which it didnt as it was in my kitchen for 2 days waiting to be collected...some fucking jobsworth opened it (sealed in a bag, drained of all fluids) and wrapped in clean washed towels to cushion it and on top of all of that sealed in a watertight box. Cunts.
So the question, anyone used a carrier to successfully send an engine?

    Cheers

  2. Parcel force max weight is 30kg...engine is 45 just incase anyone chips in with them to start with!!

  3. There are various commercial vendors, Breakers, on Ebay that sell engines and offer delivery.

Perhaps call one pretending to interested in a particular engine, ask a couple of random questions about it then ask who they would ship it with.

  6. Cheers sir...great idea. Ebay seller recommended me to the "Pallet Network" which in Bristol was "Hills Delivery" called them only thing is it has to go on a pallet. The bloke on the end of the phone said "just drop the box down to us and we'll put it on a pallet" - next day delivery and a tenner cheaper than DHL.

    Many thanks.
