Latest GTA VI trailer dropped, anyone excited? And before the oldies have at a go at us youngsters (I'm only 61) wasting our lives nerding out in front of monitors, I get paid to make games, and yes it is like working in a cake/pie/curry shop, that’s why I’m so fat.
Only game I’ve enjoyed in my later years has been Borderlands 2. Have done a few play throughs as different characters but the best was playing it alongside my Son who was an absolute demon at it and knew all the weapon combinations. His go to before he left these shores was Battlefield but he was just a very casual player. Had a dabble on GTA but just didn’t gel with it and found it tedious.
It’s been delayed multiple times, this is just latest delay. Other developers/publishers are pleased, means a few more months respite before GTA drains the world of spare cash.
I am currently playing The First Descendant and Cyberpunk 2077 on the Series X and Stellar Blade on the PS5. As for GTA6 I will wait to see what the independant reviewers say. I'm 56 and would say I'm a casual, mediocre gamer.
I have a slew games. But I get bored very quickly. The first half of Tomb Raider Shadow was good until the puzzles stopped and it turned into a crazy, neverending, shoot 'em up fest. Flying the helicopter through Manhattan isn't bad in Flight Sim. But I doubt I'll turn it on again before winter.
Still one of my all time favourite games. One San Francisco GDC (Game Developer Conference) meeting with Treyarch (COD developer) the head of studio said to me, we’re not going to beat about the bush, we want your company to develop a version of COD. And we did, and got in game credits. A life milestone.
It is seriously good in multiplayer, though not a fan of some recent versions of the game. The recent ‘dogtag’ collecting, jump boots etc leaves me cold. Suppose they just want to sell the latest thing… Miss the nuke option after 25 kills..
Btw, as a 58 year old gamer, I am convinced that it helps keep reflexes sharp. With actual benefits to reaction times on the bike and in the car.
spent hours and hours playing Halo multiplayer on line, was pretty good, wiped out the entire opposing team in less than 5 seconds a few times binned the xbox years ago tho
