  2. Well?????

  3. I've had a few problems with my Termi UpMap for the D200 exhaust. Mostly at low rpm and a jerky throttle response, not at all linear and rapid deceleration of rpm when slowing down for a bend, almost as low as 800 rpm. Have to feather the throttle on entry and pulling away from a standstill is quite an ordeal. I've decided (on good advice) to go with Duessen Engines. Was considering BrenTune but I have heard nothng but praise for Daniel's service, who by all accounts offers as near as is possible, a perfect map as you can get, without actually putting the bike on a dyno. Plus he knows the V4 platform inside out, as well as the ECU/BBS and instrumentation electronic architecture. According to some who have used him, his tuning even exceeds that provided by MR and JHP and each map is tailored to your specific bike and/or your needs.

  4. I went with the Deussen Remap for my 23 SFV4s a few weeks back, i fitted an Akra exhaust with a exhaust servo eliminator but found it would randomly go into a limp mode but with no lights on the dash to say there was anything wrong. I would then kill the engine and re start and it would be ok again but didn't want that to keep happening so spoke with Daniel over email and he said he could resolve the issue. I now have it installed and that problem is fixed along with better idle and seems to be more power but also smoother.

  5. I have no issues with the BHP and find it works fine with good gains in power and smooth delivery just better all round and a good purchase . A Uk company and easy to deal with .To add BHP Uk , developed both the V4 s Multi and the V4RS maps with their own purchased bikes and spent a long time perfecting the maps and then tweaking them to suit your bike and upgrades . Sounds akin to Duessen Engines .

  6. It’s here, I’ve downloaded the map, sent it to BHP and they’ve returned it. All done in an hour!

I just have to upload it to the bike and go for a ride. A significant hangover is the current issue though.

  8. Map uploaded, but the test ride will have to wait until tomorrow when there’s a possibility that the alcohol will have left my bloodstream.

  9. Stream or river

  10. Dragged myself to the barbers, accompanied by Boy No.2. The rejuvenating effects in a couple of pints in the pub next door should not be underestimated.

  11. UPDATE

Having spent most of yesterday circling the drain, I’m pleased to report that I made it through the night and arose from my pit this morning ready to test the new map. One bowl of Frosties and two cups of coffee later, I pushed my now BHP’d Multi put into a balmy 12deg C North Yorkshire sunshine.

For info, I’ve only recently had the new Ducati map uploaded to the bike and whilst I miss the popping and banging, the cleaner fuelling makes it a better bike.

First impressions of the BHP map are the same and a bit more. Cleaner, smoother and a bit more power.

And then I went over 6k.

It’s fucking mental. Seriously. I’d estimate the bike to be delivering around an extra 20bhp from those revs onwards and having just watched the BHP YouTube video, they’ve all but confirmed it.

I’m genuinely shocked. This bike could never be described as slow, but this new map, once over 6k, is another level altogether. To the point, it’s making me ride the bike differently. I’m finding myself a gear higher most of the time and when I’d usually ride that midrange through a series of bends, I’m now having to think more about my gear selection, such is the rate of acceleration once you’re over those revs.

I wouldn’t call it a powerband as such, mainly because it’s so linear. It’s feels more like a boost button!

I’m interested to see if @Captain is of the same opinion.

    Roll on the TT!

  12. Very interesting. I was out on my RS today, and have deduced that the low speed fuelling is absolutely shite, so am very close to hitting the button on this, as the full system seems to be more hassle than it’s worth. Based on your recommendation, I’ll give BHP a call in the week, and see what their thoughts are.

  13. Looks like you’ll need the de-cat pipe for the full 190bhp!

It’s worth watching this video too:

It’s the PP map, but what’s really interesting are the dyno graphs for the different %’s of throttle.

  14. I’ve said it before, this thing genuinely doesn’t need any more power. Now that the first service is out of the way and I can use all the revs, the thing is utterly bonkers.

I just need the low speed fuelling sorting. Will the BHP map sort that?

  15. Give them a call, the lads on the end of the phone are really helpful.

    Northerners you see.

  16. I note that this has been derailed off of the 1260 onto the V4, that's fine, honestly. Can anyone comment on this as a remap option for the 1260? Sounds great for the V4.

  17. Did you get it sorted?

  18. Just waiting for the new map

  19. Just a thought, I've just spent a full day doing a map for a crf1000, think I am up to version 15 and I'm still not happy
I did 2 bmw 1000r back to back and the second one was not happy with the map from the first one. Had to do it all again.
