I'm on the look out for a Ducati having never owned one before, so joined up to gather some information and see if I get hooked.

Thanks, I'm not entirely sure, but perhaps a Panigale v4. In the past I've not been entirely mechanically sympathetic, but hopefully the modern Ducati's are resilient enough to cope.
Welcome, there are plenty of people on this forum who can support and advise you. Bikes I've owned in the past included a Yamaha TDR250, BMW K75s, Honda CBF100 before buying a Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak. I ride mine through the winter, making sure its been treated with ACF50 and regular washes and polishes. Like most things, if you look after them, they will look after you.
