  1. That's my plan, sort of, not sure if I need to book a berth or not, or just anchor

  2. 14 speed detection devices were sent over to the UK a week or two ago for calibration. So go easy on the increasing number of restricted roads on the island over the next few weeks if you are heading over for the practice or races.

  3. No surprise there.

If you're riding the course, it's either 30 or 50 all the way to the gooseneck. Unrestricted from the gooseneck to creg ny baa.

Popular places to zap you are crosby, alpine, sulby and brandish. But, they can turn up anywhere.

  4. Had conversations with officers at The Nook 30 years ago and Ballig about 15 years ago. One was free advice, the other was rather more expensive.

  5. Free advice at The Nook and a pricey lesson at Ballig… classic TT experience. One’s a chat, the other’s a court date.

  6. No Court date, just received a letter and sent them a cheque.

  7. “The 2026 Isle of Man TT will run from Monday 25th May to Saturday 6th June”

Ferry tickets sold out unless you want to travel in the middle of the night already lol.

  8. I'm on a short visit this year. But, I've booked race week next year but not taking a bike (going to manx on bike is better).

No trouble at all, booked this afternoon, got straight through and a choice of boats.

  9. We're looking at the Manx, doing TT this year as never done it.

  10. Logged on to the Steam Packet Website at 7:45, queue management software gave a 4 hour wait, so I drove to work and eventually got onto the booking system just before 10am. All sailings back to Heysham on the Sunday at the end of Race Week were sold out, so we had to book for Monday. I got the same return day for this year when I booked last year, but managed to change it at a later date.
Paid a Non-refundable deposit of £90 per person!!!!!!

  11. Manx is the one to take a bike and enjoy the island.

TT, the racing is truly breathtaking but riding when the roads are open is very busy and often grinds.

Both are brilliant. That's why I'm still going to the TT but on foot for TT and bike for manx.

    You'll love it

  12. I'm taking my triumph street triple so it's a bit easier to ride than the super bike

  14. No racing in the wet (or damp)
