Hi chaps, track day at Silverstone coming up next week and I was taking the track bike as usual, but had an email from Silverstone saying the noise limit is 112db drive by, so I'm tempted on taking the panigale but it has race cans on it now and it's bloody loud, do we think I could get away with it ?? Many thanks
I have been at some trackdays at our local track with the national Ducati club, where the track is 100DB static (5k rpm for V2) and 110DB driveby on my 1199 with a full akra underslung system with baffles. I can’t pass the static test, but have no problems on track with the driveby with shortshifting at around 10K when I am passing the 2 microphones on that track. Don’t know if that helps you anything
Thanks bud, if there is any doubt il take the track bike, to much money to lose if the pani dont go though
BSB last weekend at Donny had 118db limit on the board they have on the garage walls, not sure if that was drive by or static. Failing 112 will be impressive!
112db drive by, that would have to be near 120db static. Take the Pani R and let it roar. Incidentally, that's the loudest I've heard of in the UK.
my 1299 with Akrapovic system was 116dB on a static test, o with a 112 drive by you should be fine, from my experience its the quick shifter that sets off the noise trigger ( regular issues in Assen and just short shift pass the sensor)
