They do the de cat and the flasher for £1500 so still way cheaper , but will be even louder than the Ducati Race system as that has a small baffle box , the BHP one not. Im sure if you love a noisy bike it would be good. I prefer the quite now as less intrusive and noticeable when on the gas. Had the system on last year in Spain ( Akro) as well as 4 other bikes running loud pipes , got stopped at the end of the Brotto Road as they heard us coming from miles away , got away with it as the Police were fair as we were traveling , nice guys , all rode bikes and chatted for a while , but did say put baffles in next time as not all are as forgivable.
I wonder how many sales of full systems Ducati have lost, since they started making customers sign the disclaimer.
Damn you.....didn't think there was anything I wanted to do to my Multistrada (or the wife's Hyperstrada) now I'm looking at a £450 ECU remap for each
Second ride finished today , just under 700 miles ( 2 rides) , it just works so well . Best thing this year for me . Fast roads , great , back roads , even better , perfect .
Not a penny , never met them but did do research , and felt a post for others may be of help. I’m a habitual tinkerer lol Performance and practicality before bling … just saying
What's the reg of your RS bike? Any issues with it? What mileage had you done on it? Just touring with the idea of getting an RS now
Mine does that and I always end up swearing to myself. With my old Multi I'm always worried that a quick and too happy throttle twist, takes you to 3 digits in seconds. I don't even dare to think what happens with RS.
Hi Fraser, the same dealer has another RS in from another prestigious customer - it has a full system and opens clutch cover and Heated Grips - I was allowed a test ride for 10 miles today on it - it was a slowish ride as it started to spit rain but anyway I held back a bit then opened it up a bit and did not find it lacking in torque which I was concerned about - the clutch is heavier than my V4S but the QS is super slick so wouldn't use it a lot except for getting stuck in traffic I guess - what MPG did you get when on a run? The exhaust is loud at idle when cold but going along I found it very pleasant and not boomy at all - my V4S was decatted via Leo Vince and was way louder Anyway I've saved about £8000 buying used and it's only done 2000 miles and will be serviced and a new rear tyre fitted Hope to keep it for a few years and I've a 3000 mile tour planned this year - I also have a Diavel 1260S to ride so should help keep miles down
*HEAVY BREATHING I so so wish for that to be true, I currently have the Pikes Peak, and choose to not go for the RS when it launched as I only had the bike for a year at that point, also it did not make sense, for me at least, to just change for the engine (it would have been very expensive, I do not get good offers on trades), but I always said that I will wait for the one with the updated ec 3.0 suspension as well, that + the engine would be more than enough for me to warrant the change
Guys I need some opinions - I've still not bought a new bike - just me mulling it all over - I do take a bit of time to make my mind up 1. Would you spend £28700 on a brand new 2025 Pikes Peak with Race exhaust and Grips with all the feeling of having a brand new bike or 2. Spend £29000 on used 2024 RS with full system and heated grips ? I have a V4S Multistrada at the moment and so I'm wanting to upgrade My head is saying get the RS as it has better spec and extra carbon parts, titanium subframe, Streetfighter engine and dry clutch which I've not had before but I'd like other people opinions to help sway me Total spend is about the same but I always have an eye on deprecation and so what will hold it's value more after 2 years of ownership? What bike is the better deal and will be worth more in a couple of years? The RS would cost about £140 a year more than the PP to insure so not too bad
Go and ride the RS. If the full system sorts the low speed fuelling, then don’t hesitate. Out on the open road, it’s absolutely phenomenal, and in a different league to the Pikes Peak, but the price to pay is the slower stuff, as it’s quite lumpy. Residual wise, in three years time, the RS will be worth a fair bit more, as backed by Ducati’s predicted figures on any PCP deal.
I've ridden a RS for 6 miles and it wasn't long enough - all I was allowed to do - the fueling was fine at low speed - that was all I could do at the time as it rained - it sounds sweet with full system but so does a PP with system What are you saying residual wise? Would you ever go back to a PP? On my particular deal what would you do? You have owned both so your feedback is appreciated
It sounds like the full system sorts the fuelling out, so that’s good news. The RS will be worth more in 3 years. As it stands now, the Pikes Peak was the best bike I’ve ever owned, and I’ll stand by that, but I will be sorting the fuelling on the RS shortly, which is the only issue I have with it. Out on the open road at full chat, it is absolutely mind blowing. If the fuelling at low speed with the full system is fine, then go RS every time, its a very, very special bike.
I can't comment on the RS with standard exhaust but all Multistrada's have poor stuttery fueling at low RPM's but with the Race exhaust it fueled lovely and was not stuttery at all in fact it was nice and smooth - it was just a shame I couldn't open it up as I wanted to see if you got pops from the exhaust on the upshift but like I said I didn't have chance to open it up Glad to hear you wouldn't swap back I know what you mean when riding it you do feel it's a bit special So given my choice you definitely would go used RS over a new PP?
@Android853sp Are you refering to item 11 - one for LHS and One for RHS Or do you need more than these? Mine is rattling (no panniers) So was looking for someway to stop the rattle. THANKS
