  1. Tuesday 20 after work today, was knackered and nearly didn't bother going, glad I did though feel better now.

  3. Gonna try this here before that hateful auction site.

A full Titanium frame and fork build bought by me as a complete bike for my Mrs who liked the idea of riding but not its actuality. Son rode it a few times but outgrew it and much prefers the knarr of off-roading his MTB and gravel bike options.

No dents or dings anywhere few wear marks from the groupset and rub marks from cables.

It’s a lovely frame to ride as all Ti frames are, manufacturer is unknown I recall it being a Swedish maker but not the name. Definitely not a Colnago, that’s on as a bit of fun to upset the purists……

It has a a Ti fork which is very unusual for a Ti frame as it’s cheaper to bung a Carbon fork on as nearly all makers do.

Finish is Shot Peened as all Ti frames should be to relieve the stress on the welds from what I researched of Titanium bikes.

    540mm top tube
    1 inch ahead fork
    Campagnolo Chorus headset that perfect.

£275 plus postage, would prefer pick up and could meet up halfway to exchange depending on circumstance. In Ireland from 9 June so if you want it before July be quick.

  5. I have a CycloX frame in the same size hanging up in the garage.

Kona Jake alloy frame with Project 2 steel forks 11/2 steerer tube that I’d sell for £100 plus P&Pif he likes a bit of gravel knarrness forks alone go for around £50.

  10. Good luck with that mate.
Have you ever done the New Forest Garmin event?

  11. No, I keep missing it

I don’t think it’s advertised locally and I have cycled most of the route I’ve seen.

    I’d still like to though

  12. We finished this ride yesterday, another excellent ride.

We drove up and stayed at the quirky Moresby Hall nr Whitehaven the night before. Excellent hosts and heated bike storage, food & staff good, hotel needs a little TLC.

Day 1 we rode 55 miles to Burgh by Sands, absolutely soaked but lovely route. Coffee at Maryport Golf Club, average but was cheap and came with a penguin bar. Lunch at the fairy dust cafe in Silloth, highly recommended. Wife picked us up from Burgh on Sands and took us to Fiddleback Farm B & B, which was excellent and had a warm dry garage to store our bikes. Dinner at a local pub was underwhelming.

Day 2 we rode 42 miles to Haltwhistle, soaked again but great riding. Coffee at Eden Vale Golf club, nice but not great. Lunch at Lanercost Priory, excellent. A few cheeky hills before the nasty one at Greenhead. Dinner was again underwhelming at the Greenhead hotel. B & B at Wydon Farm, excellent accommodatio, breakfast and bike storage.

Day 3, 59 miles to Tynemouth, soaked again, dry at the end. Coffee at Tynevale Golf Club, average, lunch at Prudhoe Tyne Riverside Cafe, lovely but was hoping for fresh quiche or pork pie as seen on line.

A much easier C2C than WOTR, but with 32% traffic free cycle paths and quieter roads generally it felt safer. I had three punctures, but I was the only one, maybe my choice of tyres or pressures increased the chances.

My wife driving in between locations makes these rides so much more enjoyable.

  13. Annoyingly crank bearings are toast, assuming it’s a combination of three days of cycling in the rain and many miles.

  14. How many miles? Do you wash with a power washer?
    If they're Hollowtech, easy DIY.

  17. Ceramics or old school steels? Wore through a drive side set moons ago, i'm guessing the grease gave out after a few too many Winter rides on gritted roads that then got wet. The salting having worked it's way into the bearing casing, annoying as hell though.

  18. Pretty easy to swap out, and an ideal opportunity for some shaft lubrication. Which is nice…:D

  19. Not ever had to lube my shaft, I’ve always felt it pointless as the fit is so tight any lubing is scraped off during insertion. But maybe your shaft is too narrow and benefits from being lubed up.

  20. Not keen on dry shafts.
Perhaps this is enough diversion :astonished:
