Morning all, I’ve noticed that under the seat there’s another opaque plastic expansion tank which appears to have a thick pipe pertruding from it and a) I’m not sure what it is and b) should the outlet pipe have a hose attached to it heading toward the air box?? cheers.
There is a crankcase vapour catch can under the front of the seat. Piped from the crankcase breather valve and catches oil spray. Vapours are directed to the airbox to be burned.
no. It’s not that one I mean…..just out walking dog but when I get back, I’ll post a pic…. the one I’m talking about looks like the cooling system reservoirs…
It’s this one here - two apologies, one I’ve put the seat into back on so it’s harder to see now and two, it’s not opaque at all, it’s black?!
That's the breather/catch tank as pictured above (picture shows it upside-down), fitted as standard. You can also get a larger one that replaces the undertray and fills the underseat area;
