Fuelling Maps

  1. As mentioned in my feature thread I've decided to go for the "Duessen Engines" ECU map, largely because of his reputation and the ease with which he can tweak the map to an individual bike. I've looked at BHP UK, Woolwich and Brentune, but all seem to be a one size fits all approach. Sadly the Termi UpMap that Termignoni themselves recommended to suit my particular setup is frankly awful. Rough at low revs, snatchy throttle pick up and revs that drop off a cliff on a closed throttle into a bend or decelerating generally, all of which make riding the bike a less than pleasurable experience. I am assured he can iron out all these problems as well as re-instate the 2 cylinder de-activation, which the UpMap has dispensed with and that I did find a Godsend when pootling along at low rpm in built up areas or in traffic. I've no doubt given the feedback of his other customers, it will be a vast improvement over what I have now and I think my clutch will also thank me for it, having to constantly feather it to perform anything approaching a clean break away from a standing start.

  3. Yep. Just waiting for my overtime cheque to kick in to pull the trigger. Sadly funds for the bike have been depleted recently with my eldest daughter's looming wedding. Hoping to have it all wrapped up in a couple of weeks then see how it performs and if it behaves itself.

  5. Time stands still for no one.

We used to place bike ads for sale stating young family forced bike sale.

This now changes to daughter getting married, bike for sale.

Did I get lucky with 3 boys??

  9. Previously my Germany based connections that were doing mapping were based on the TuneBoy software and now i think all have moved over to Duessen engine maps.
He has a good name over here and I was also considering his mapping services for my V4..
