  1. all things being equal..what would be your preference ...im in a bit of a dilema as to which one to pull the trigger on...the fr2 has a mileage of 2k my 2000..and the Foggy 98 with 5.7 k miles on it...cheers all

  2. Depends on your criteria for the purchase - riding or ‘investment’ and the cost comparison.
Obviously mileage is not the only measure of condition - how does each compare on service history and how well they have been looked after.

  3. Probably no service history with both less than 6k miles... ..ok... Belts maybe?

  4. I would very much doubt that a 996 could reach 6k miles without any kind of service.

  6. And no servicing at all in 25 years would be a reason to ask for a discount!

  8. What’s an FR2?

  9. A made up pretend Monica then, like Verese, to try and make an over priced bike even more overpriced. Ta ;)

  10. Foggy Rep for the rarety definitely, even if I don't like the daft decals on it. They probably fetch £10k more than the SPS now.
You don't have the ohlins up front, but to be honest, they are pretty sensitive on the seals and it saves you having to change them all the time.
The foggy rep had titanium end pipes which are pretty rare (only model to have them), special seat pad made by technosel (also unique), and I think that they had some alloy wheels that were the same design as the mag ones. It also featured the lower frame cross member, that you also find on 996R, which does nothing at all for a road bike, but allowed to run bigger airboxes in racing.
