I have a V4 Rally 18 months old which appears to have developed a ticking noise which sounds suspiciously like a top end rattle to me. Is this common on v4s, am i being paranoid or should I be worried?
I have a 2021 V4S with 26K miles and when it is cold the engine does have a "ticking" noise from the top end. As soon as it has properly warmed up the ticking goes away. I am told it is due to oil draining from the heads and then it takes a little while to fully circulate back up to the heads, not sure I am happy with that. Is your noise just when cold or all the time and at what mileage is the bike?
Only done 6k miles, not sure whether it is permanent noise or just when cold, If honest have only noticed it when cold, will check it next time i take it for a run out
