A false start in the morning due to a faulty brake switch, but had a quick spin early evening once fixed.
They made 199 of the S model before the SP was released of which there were 711, yet the SP is hailed as the rarest and most sought after. I get the SP has a better specification but its not as rare.
Rare does not always mean more desirable... Some models were scarcely produced simply because they didn’t sell well. Like the Darmah 900 SSD or the 1989/1990 900 Supersport. I find it really rewarding to ride rare but affordable bikes. It triggers genuine interest rather than envy. And great discussions with perfect strangers. Some nice stories too. Contributing to motor vehicle memorabilia is a much nicer feeling than being hailed for owning something expensive, imho.
Half way round the Rutland TT on a beautiful day yesterday...smashing!...colouring looks off cos it was taken in part shade.
Bip with a mono tail? is the tail color off or is the light? How do I know? converting mine at the moment, Chinesium tail, keeping all original parts, finding the mono seat cushion is really hard, doing the paint job myself, the ones advertised painted all had orange peel.
PIc was taken in part shade, colour match is spot on, I prefer the look of the mono seat unit even though its a Bip, I'm not a rivet counter.
Looks like your mono seat unit is slightly different to mine, with mine the standard Bip riders seat bolted straight on, mine is also from China i believe, but it came already painted and i have to say the colour match and quality is really good.
Here's my new to me 916 I'm also considering some chinese fairings as the cowl and sides on mine are beat up fibreglass items, do you know the seller yours came from? @yellowducmaniac
Using these two this year, used the 748 for a early 05.15 commute this week, certainly a wakes the senses up, good fun , I m in Essex not the USA and I'm not a new member either , bizzare
I have previously purchased 2 sets of fairings for 2 different GSXR750 bikes from motorcyclefairingsale.co.uk Good quality, good fitment, on the GSXR panels, they are interchangeable between OEM and the aftermarket ones Take about 6 to 8 weeks for delivery I have done a thread on here about my GSXR projects Will find it, and edit this post later
The black 750 was the first one with the aftermarket panels, in that pic, it has been fully repaired The second one is the blue/white 750 https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/cat-n-gsxr750-l0-project.101044/ Link to website.... https://www.motorcyclefairingsale.co.uk/
