  1. Beautiful SS there, would love one myself.
One thing with the carbs is the emulsion tube can wear oval and cause all sorts of running issues. The ones in my M900 were worn and it was a bit of a dog to ride, new emulsion tubes, gaskets and setting everything to factory and low rpm driveability is amazing now.

  2. Cheers for the insight.
I'm genuinely looking forward to the spanner time over winter. Emulsion tube replacement is definitely on here somewhere. I've been reading loads of old posts. I just hope it all comes apart nicely!

  3. A lovely bike there Gareth, also just putting in my '2 peneth' if thats still a word - no one else has mentioned it but any after market pipes can cause the stuttering at low/mid revs if not jetted to suit those high level pipes could be why?

  4. Thank you. I don't know much about the history of the bike. So it may not have ever been tuned for the pipes. They are micron and are definitely free flowing ( judging by the sound) with the emulsion tube being a source of problems I'm guessing a Dyno kit would work best? And then is is tinkering with the set up? Or rolling road time to be tuned?
It's manageable for the moment, but anything under 40 is horrible. Or if I let the revs drop (any where around 3000) in a corner then there is a total lack of go!
I don't have the standard cans to play with either.
Thanks again for the top ideas and information.
