For Sale 2005 999 Biposto Deep Sump

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by KSTAR, May 11, 2025.

  1. 2005 999 Biposto, later model with revised deep sump engine and red frame.

Really nice clean bike, has both keys and the card, I've owned for nearly two years and absolutely loved having it in the garage.

Currently on 12,100 miles, has had fresh Shell oil and filter in the last couple of hundred miles along with plugs, fuel filter and Pipercross air filters in the past thousand miles.

When I bought the bike I replaced the battery and reg/rec, it sits on a CTek conditioner when not in use.

Brand new/old stock original Fila R tank (factory paint), new black Samco hoses, recent new Bridgestone S22 tyres fitted in original sizes. Billet deep sump cover.

    Ohlins rear shock, Showa front.

Termignoni silencer, fully polished exhaust system.

Full carbon clutch cover, rear hugger and a Biposto seat cowl (Biposto seat also with the bike).

There are a few marks on the bodywork but presents very well, it originally had vinyl graphics when I bought it but I've slowly removed them leaving just around the front lights and rear tail section.

    Wheels and swingarm immaculate.

I have a new set of genuine Ducati belts to go with it but can arrange these to be fitted beforehand at cost to the buyer if required for peace of mind. A couple of bits of history with the bike but quite limited, last belt change completed at SPR Racing in Nottingham.

Beautiful bike to ride, everything works as it should, ready to go and enjoy.

There's probably a few other bits I've missed but feel free to contact me if you are interested. Located between Nottingham and Lincoln around 15 mins from A1.

    MOT until Oct 25

    £5000

    Cheers
    Kevin

  6. Still for sale, only offered on the forum at the moment but will probably be going more widely offered in the next couple of months.

  7. To update the ad further, genuine Ducati belts being fitted today and a few more recent photos added as I managed to wheel it out yesterday. Currently on 12,115 miles.

Owners manual and original tool kit included (although not mounted in the fairing)

HPI clear, no previous recorded damage on history check.

  8. Well that pretty much sums up how poor the secondhand sales market is if in that condition and price and hasn't moved on yet.

  9. Hard to believe these go for so little money. If I didn't already have one I,d be all over this. Absolute bargain.

  10. I suppose I've not pushed to sell anywhere other than on the forum and I'm not in any hurry at all but I agree it is a good price for a nice bike, ready to ride and enjoy.

I've personally always loved the 749/999 but they do seem to split opinion on looks.

  11. I think they did when first out but like other things the looks seem to have caught up with thinking . I didn't like them at all but think they are fantastic now. Id happily swap that for my 1098R but would need a little cash in my direction though. :)

  12. Utter bargain...I'd be all over that if the garage wasn't bursting at the seams. :upyeah:

  13. I'd love a 1098R, the thing is I've kind of talked myself out of having another sports bike....and a 1098R is a bit of a beast :astonished:

  14. Just delivered back from having fresh belts, all cleaned up around pulleys and covers along with spark plugs checked and cleaned. Top job from DM3 Motorcycles if anyone in the area needs their bike servicing/track prepping.

  15. The oil pipe in the second picture normally runs behind the belts - there’s a gap for it to pass through, approximately as below:

  16. Well spotted, just checking and it appears it's been mounted like a long time now.

  17. It won’t affect the way the bike runs.
