Tank pad and Ducati Performance front flashers arrived. Took some figuring out how to remove the headlight housing as no one has done it yet. Turns out it’s just two 10mm nuts below the headlight then two pegs at the top that push into rubber grommets. The entire headlight unit releases in one go. Three cable ties each side hold the wiring and the flasher connectors are in a rubber surround along with the empty heated grip connectors.
Whoa! Dealer has just texted me to say my bike has arrived (V2S). Only ordered it 2 weeks ago! Just needs a few extras fitted and PDI. I wondered why I was getting missed phone calls from Italy
i was told my bike was supposed to be delivered on the 27th May, but as of last week still in limbo - last udpae was that it was in holland somewhere - so at least left Italy. I'll keep pestering the dealer, hoping not so long now. im jealous seeing all these pics and accessory improvements!
My V2S will not be ready to collect till next week. I popped round to the dealers to have a look at it in the workshop, and they let me take the V4S for a spin. Wow, what a surprise. It was such a nice ride. Really comfy, well behaved, super smooth and just takes off like a missile when you open it up (it was in Sport mode, not Race!). I don't think I took it over 9000 revs, never had the throttle fully open and reached unmentionable speeds. I took it on A roads, dual carraigeways and around town. It was brilliant. If I had £25k I would be tempted, except I could never use it to anywhere near it's full potential. It was just amazing.
Today’s 110 mile run out route, according to my bargain £4.99 tracker. ( plus £50 a year fee ) Only 120 miles until the first service. Better try and get it booked in.
FINALLY collected my bike today - this thing is great fun. I must have the smallest hands in the world as I cannot get that clutch level comfortable - off to ASV for some adjustable levers I think. .....its crying out for an exchaust but I guess i'll have to wait as I don't want to pay the Termi tax. Contacted Arrow, Austin and SC Project and none have slips in the mix yet sadly.
Lol as I had the same issue with that feeling of little hands on the SF, and also went down the same route of fitting the ASV levers to my SF,and worked an absolute treat.....
Good news you got your bike. The adjustment span on the levers isn’t good on them. Even fully in it’s quite a stretch. I think I might have to invest in some levers as well. I think around 20% off a Termi is around the max discount but you do get the map with them plus keep your warranty.
