Any suggestion of our being sentient is purely the manifestation of the reader's anthropomorphic projections, which they have desperately engineered as a coping mechanism to help camouflage the vast and all-consuming emptiness of their own existence... whereas we, ourselves, are but one eraser rub away from extinction. "Wish I'd never f*****g asked!" mumbled Piglet.
