Yes that’s a crappy picture. I think the lens may have focused on the glazing of the window rather that the external panorama, unless of course that was your intended image, in which case a what a great capture.
No, you are correct. I never considered that was going on. There is a more manual mode and I will try playing with that mode.
You have taken the protective adhesive plastic cover off the camera lens? Google lens, he says a view from the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Plymouth.
I looked into property prices in Plymouth, but not selling my gaf. I could just about do it in years to come but it's cheaper, easier, with less stress, to just stay here in this hotel. People wait on me and bring me beer. I need nothing more.
This is a photo of Maniac's house taken through my office window. Maniac because he has thing going on, of having his central heating going 100% 24/7 all the days of the year. In Winter, when I walk past his house and it is four degrees centigrade. all the windows will be flung open like this! Of course, he has been a bit confused as it is very warm and no sane person would need heating on anyway, but we are talking Tory fanboy who has to pretend to be mega-rich in order to fit in with his other Tory bum-boys! Anyway that's not the point. I set the phone camera to be manual focus and set the focus on infinity. Still the focus is not quite right, so the lesson learnt is that the phone camera is crappo wacko. The phone camera is fine with near objects and out-of-focus landscapes! And it's not the Windows as I just tried the same as the top photo through an open Window with the same poor result

I was but established this wasn't making much difference. The camera on my phone is just not very good. It just doesn't work well on anything more than a few feet away. I have a Nikon with a zoom lens on and when I get a car back, I will take it to Slimbridge and get some good companison pics.
That's good and I accept fully that an iPhone will be better than the Android crap that I have. Since I didn't really get the phone to take pictures, I not very bothered. BUT . . . . . I have considered getting an iPhone, as I do think that they might be better. Trouble is - nothing in my life is Apple and even getting that pic off the phone and onto this web site might be an unsurmountable challenge!
