  1. All in the head.
If the same bike can go around at a faster pace, your bike can too. Commitment, belief. Gone.

  3. Should make it a permanent thing if that performance was anything to go by. 8th!!!
Great race shame it ended like it did but it was kind of inevitable.

  4. Well done Jake, points mean prizes.
Back up to 4th now and top three surely the goal now.

  5. I can’t see him making the top 5 tbh. Obviously hope I am wrong.

    • Agree Agree x 2
  6. Yeh he usually tails off at the end of the season doesn’t he. Top 5 and top Boscoscuru would be a result though. :upyeah:

  7. I watched a lot of the moto 3 race on Ogden and after going into turn one in 18th he kept up with all the Italian and Spanish boys until the very last corner and I know he had some luck with riders crashing out but that equals sense to me. Very wee McPhee.
Just needs that last bit of grit or *something

  8. He also has the greenest bike ever.

  9. Just watched the main race in full.
I counted one overtake between the front group after 8 laps in a 26 lap race, harumph etc...

Having said that we love Bez in this house and he put in a throughly sterling effort.

I do miss the days when you didn’t know who was going to win before the lights go geeen I have to say.

  10. ^^ Bez is a class act. He went rather well on the vr46 Ducati and I am pleased to see him getting results now on that Aprilia.

In some ways it feels like motogp has disappeared in to a fog of rules,* Ducati domination and a lack of new riders. The spectacle has gone, much like the cars. Got to hope the upcoming rule changes do something good for the racing.
It needs a re-fresh. New blood. Less one make domination. More rider turn over. Not just re shuffling the pack.

Ducati have, I think, six bikes on the grid. Too many. It seems insane that the manufacturer with the most competitive bike can stack the deck this way? No doubt money is a factor, they can afford to do it, KTM (as an example) are barely solvent. Suzuki gone, etc. So maybe cap the expenditure.. It would be great to see BMW, Kawasaki and Suzuki in the mix. Maximum 3 bikes.

    * that bloody tyre pressure rule needs to see the exit..

    Edit.
Maybe qualifying needs to be looked at too. It has become too important. Qualifying position is effectively for two races now, with the Sprint and Sunday race. Fail to get up the grid, get penalised twice..

  11. This ^^. Spot on Amigo.

  12. Think I mentioned a couple of weeks ago how shit the sprint races have become. Alright for a novelty at first but completely destroyed the schedule and qualifying, should be two long races each round if you’re going to have a race on Saturday.

Still won’t solve the problem of 93 on the best bike but it would be a start.
