Many thanks for allowing me to join the Forum. I have a 1994 600SS which I have owned since 1997. Has done 20,405 miles. I am looking for some advice. The bike has been stored for a long time. It is in good cosmetic condition, starts and runs but will need some work doing (valves and valve seals). I had hoped that I'd be able to ride again, one day. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that the bike has to go. My query is; Should I sell it as a "project" that needs work or would I be better off getting the work done, getting it MOT'd, then selling it?
Welcome into our mad house I would love to see you if your able to get her running so that you can enjoy her
Hi Graham, We're practically neighbours - I'm in Hockley - will look out for you once you get her recommissioned
Sadly I never did get her back on the road and now illness means I am unable to ride again. I am just about to list her on Ebay. Before I do, if anyone wants her I will take £650. Happy to answer any questions and supply photos and video. Bear in mind it most certainly needs work (smokes a lot when hot) and has been sitting since 2014. New fuel and new battery today and she started first press of the button! I'm in Essex SS5 postcode.
