Just wondered if anyone else has one? Only got it today and to be honest I'm not that impressed. Sits awful on the mounting plates and don't trust it that much.. Good points, will make manoeuvring the bike around the workshop easier, and will be good to work on the bike with the rear end and front end stripped down over the winter.
Mine did exactly the same. Hated every time I had to lift my 916 with it. Some people say you get used to it. But I didn’t. Hurt my mechanical instincts too much. I finally sold it. Good riddance…
I use a Constands rear paddock stand on my 916 and i think its a good bit of kit, i use an Abba stand when i need to work on the bike , also good and holds the bike very securely.
I remember comments when that product hit the market, mostly playing on the ‘Con’ part of the company name. It was thought to be a blatant rip off of someone else's design. Andy
I’ve got a constands tyre changer, it’s reasonable value for money but more useful if you can weld and can modify it a bit. If I needed to buy another I’d just buy a Rabaconda.
Bloody awful things gave mine away. I never felt the bike was safe on it so I used to use a strap around the frame and stand.and just stopped using it so got rid of it.
I bought a Skylift, like the fact the bike is completely secure when up in the air and the height is adjustable. Picked mine up 2nd hand but in really good condition.
I’ve got one, can’t use it on the new MV4S as they don’t make an adapter for it. But I used it on the H2, R1M and MT10SP and it was great. I’ll sell it if anyone’s interested
Abba Superbike Stand is very stable, so easy to use. Gets the rear wheel off the ground. To get the front up just a small jack under the front of the engine.
I bought a 1jac (like constands but made in UK) but they went out of business seemingly to be resurrected. ive not been able to find an adaptor for it so might sell it and get skylift
