Had aftermarket Ohlins on my Panigale 1299, and despite being set up for my weight, I found it lacked feedback and didn't inspire any confidence, and frustratingly no adjustment helped improving things. I picked up the phone and spoke with Richard at Maxton Suspension about some options, and went for their GP10 Shock and SD25 Fork Cartridges. The Maxton suspension didnt need any adjustment, and was great straight out of the box, and changed the bike dramatically. Richard provided track and road settings and he is always happy to support after purchase, with 1st class customer service and technical support. If you have any Suspension issues, I would strongly recommend speaking with Richard at Maxton. If your interested in a nearly new shock and fork cartidge kit, check the classified section of the forum on the thread titled, "Panigale Performance Parts". I ve just put my 1299 back to stock and sold it, so plenty of Performance Parts, including Suspension items are now available. I'd wholeheartedly agree with the quality of Maxton kit. I have a pair of their T260 twin shocks fitted to the Darmah. https://www.maxtonsuspension.co.uk/files/t260-c.htm On ordering they asked for dimensions of the swingarm/shock length etc plus your weight to help them make a decision on the ideal spring rate. Initially this proved to be too firm i.e. not enough sag, and after an email discussion a second set was delivered that proved to be nigh on perfect. The damping adjustment really does change the damping and the build quality is what you would expect. The best compliment I can give is that in use I don't really notice them working.
Got Maxton kit on my M900 with re-valved 916 forks and a remote reservoir rear shock - when I called up years after getting them done they still remembered the job which was impressive. Quality top-notch too for the money!
