1200 Tail Light With Integrated Indicators

  1. Hi all.

Has anyone ever tried to fit one of these? They come with just 2 yellow wires for the integrated indicators whereas the factory ones come with 2 wires. I have tried all sorts of combinations but having no luck. I also bought some aftermarket small indicators which did work but now don't and I can't understand why. Are there separate fuses for the rear indicators to the front? The front work (blink fast as no rears). There doesn't seem to be power to the rears anymore for some reason?

  2. I think the indicators have to be a certain distance apart. Not sure if this is just a type approval thing for design parameters for new bikes or something that's part of the MOT though. @cookster may be able to advise on this one.

  3. Rear indicators have to be minimum 180mm spaced apart and 240 at the front. Unless manufactured different

  4. Thanks both. I'm going back to standard. The reason for the integrated indicators is that I've fitted a tail tidy. Unfortunately, the panniers won't fit with the standard indicators. First try was to get some smaller indicators which worked but wouldn't fit either as the luggage rack was in the way, hence the integrated indicators. If it won't pass an MOT with it, I'm going to make a bracket for each indicator to drop them down an inch or so to fit. The trouble is, the tail light, brake light, number plate lamp and rear indicators no won't work at all now! (the new indicators worked when I tested them first). Does anyone know where the fuses are for the tail light etc as I must have blown one or two while messing with it?
