V2 Panigale V2 Engine Refresh

  1. Hi guys,

Does anyone know what the rough mileage should be for an engine refresh on a 2021 Panigale V2 for racing?

  2. It might be as short as 1,000-2,000 miles depending on what you have had done to it. What's the spec and who prepared it?

  3. I'm not sure who the builder was, the bikes done 3300 miles but only one season of that was in the BSB

  4. Speak with Oxford products racing Ducati, ready4racing or one of the other teams running the V2 they will give you the full info along with service schedules and who they use if not themselves to do the refreshes. If you are lucky you might be able to track down whos engine it was from the engine numbers and a few calls

  5. didnt alot of race bikes have carrillo rods put in them??

  6. I know the 899s did as that was their weak point but I thought they'd sorted that issue with the V2?

  7. What spec is your engine?
What revs are you running up to?

  8. no idea mate, it’s a bike I’m interested in buying

  9. 3300 track miles including one season in tri options? If it’s not had a refresh it’s overdue.

  10. What are the refresh intervals on them?

  11. I suppose you could ask the seller…
Who built it? when? what spec is it? How many hours has it done rather than miles ? When was it last refreshed? Who by? Is it documented or pictures? Has it been crashed? When?

  12. I don’t think you would find it published anywhere mate as so many variables. Personally I would say min every two seasons if racing. If track days rather than racing then a bit longer, possibly three years. Everyone will have their own opinion of course.

  13. Just out of interest, how much would it cost to have a track bike engine refreshed? My bike is the 1199s, it's a definite keeper for me, so might have it done over winter as a preventative measure. :innocent:
I wouldn't even know who carries out these kind of works on Ducatis. I'm up North, near Hull.

  14. Try @nelly from Cornerspeed.

  16. I dropped him and email and have just had a very informative chat with him about all things Paniagle 1199s ! He seems like a sound bloke and a font of knowldge.
For the pace I'm running at (middle advanced group), he just recomended keeping it running on good oil for now and generally looking after it between trackdays.
The lower radiator being a source of potenial problems with this bike as well.
