Well, this post went quite off track so, I’ll try to bring it back. We left Normandy and stayed in Valenciennes. Rode to Bruges as my Brother wanted to go, not a good ride. We then went into Germany to a town called Trier. This was a Roman town, ruins from 108AD and I love Roman stuff. Roman Baths which when being built had the design changed to become more of a Forum. An intact Amphitheater.
Sorry for the late reply. That looked like a great trip. Thank you for posting. My wife and I are searching for a small town on French coast not far from the tunnel that would be good for a night or two of good cafes etc. We will be on the crotch rockets so my back is the limiting factor...
