So what have you done today..?

  1. Went to Fowlers for breakfast of bacon and egg roll with a Latte. It was "gert lush" as they say in the West Country!

Had a gander at the new Aprilia Tuono 457 https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/aprilia/tuono-457/2025/

This is the next one for me. Easy to get on an off and I can get a factory seat replacement hump to dump the pillion seat. And the pegs just unbolt. The exhaust is really low level and so does no use the pillion footrest to bolt to.

It is super light and I can get on and off real easy and when on, I can put both feet flat on the floor. It is about £6250 with the seat hump. Also turn-by-turn sat nav is available for about 60-70 quid.

They had a 660 Tuono that I could get on and off but with a struggle. I can see no point in struggling so the 457 will be next.

I took a mate in my returned Ford B-Max. It is now fooking brill! And looks immaculate now! The front suspension and steering works really well. And although the automatic gearbox wouldn't of been touched, even that is now working tons better! You get engine braking now, so it has lost the habit of staying in the highest gear when you take your foot off the gas! Electric windows and mirrors have now fixed themselves for no apparent reason. So, I am keeping it and not giving it to my eldest. I've told her that I will now just pay towards a replacement car for her as I wanna keep this now. It was getting through brake pads and discs every year at MoT time but I won't worry. Ford parts are cheap and the car just does everything that I want.

I just need to be super-cautious driving past the medical centre at Frampton if there are Range-Rovers with personalised plates being driven by prissy women, cause they give way to nobody!

  2. The other thing of note is when you get to traffic lights on red, you can leave it in drive and just put the handbrake on. Unlike that pile of shit vW, it doesn't fight but just sits there until you take off the handbrake and accelerate. You know, what a normal car should do. One that is engineered correctly. It doesn't fight the handbrake requiring you to either switch out of Auto to Neutral or you have to hold it on the footbrake AND handbrake.

But it was a good lesson learnt in so far as modern VWs are shit and should be avoided. And now I don't have the lane guidance system fighting me all the time. It felt strange to just be calm and not having to fight the car everywhere. Never again will I loan a modern VW as they are just shit,

  3. Well today I had a busy morning..........first thing I returned a "plunger" I bought from Tool Station yesterday as it wasnt big enough to fit over the kitchen sink hole. Then went to buy a few bits that I needed from Asda, then I came home and cut the grass, then cleaned my bike as I plan on going out for a few hours tomorrow. After that I made some lunch and did sweet FA all afternoon except laze in my back garden with the dog.

This evening I have been looking at the Maeving RM1S electric bike.......I think it looks cool although performance wise it looks a bit shite :)

  6. One of my favourite bikes was collected today and went off to a new owner.Bit sad to see it go but circumstances dictated that it had to go.Another bike accessory was collected this afternoon,so I have started the clearing of bikes and bits.I accumulated so much over the years and should have got rid of stuff a bit earlier.

  7. Found out the Triumph Nightstorm battery is on its last legs, nearly stranded at work 100 miles from home. Luckily someone randomly appeared with one of these small jump packs. I guess I'll be battery shopping tomorrow. To be fair I suspect it's the original battery, I've had it since '18 and it's a '15 plate so it's not done bad.

  8. Personally, I don't think this is a problem with my email service. Just putting that out there.

I responded to MSP telling them it was delivered 8 days earlier. They replied to ignore it.

I got sent a 2nd pair of Chelsea shorts when Adidas knew I required a refund*. I don't know if they got my reply to their last email. They don't give an email address for contacting them, so the suspicion is that they don't monitor that one, though they don't say so. They wouldn't be the first. Anyhow, yesterday they emailed to say my refund is delayed because they're having problems. One might suspect it's to do with sending a 2nd pair unordered, unrequested, not invoiced.

Also yesterday my orange bulbs were delivered, as both the seller and eBay acknowledged. This morning eBay have sent another email to say my bulbs are out for delivery.

All three anomalies within the week.

    * And it doesn't seem like there was time for them to have sent the 2nd pair, erroneously or not, on being informed I was returning the 1st pair, let alone for them to have received the 1st pair.

  9. My old (un)faithful ST2 daily beater locked up on my flat out in 4th at Mantorp last week, luckily the chain snapped and the back wheel didn't lock, also very luckily the chain didn't injure me, though it landed 2" from my left arse cheek...!
So bought a 2006 ST4S yesterday to replace it in the interrim, whilst I consider what to do with the ST2:
ETA, fuck knows what I''m doing wrong with images on this site... I try and paste an image and it's too big, so I use a link instead and it shows fine in a preview, it shows fine in edit mode but not in the post....
I give up, head to .ms to see the image if interested.

  11. Fair play Sir. I will be back home for 5 weeks here soon and given the fact my bikes are somewhere on a container to Spain I will rent a bike and take off on the WAW while the missus is in the states. Those pictures made up my mind.

  15. Had a bit of a switch around with mirrors and pics in the house today. I have a big heavy fuck off mirror on the wall in the lounge that is 10ft x 4ft and when I had it hung about 6 weeks ago I realised it was too high on the wall so I got the handyman back in today to lower it 8" and put extra supports on the wall and now it looks right.

I then took down a Paul Horton pic I had in the hall and replaced it with a mirror and put the pic in the bedroom where it's better suited.

This afternoon I had a delivery of patio lights so Im testing them tonight to see if they're any good or if I should send them back and get a refund.

Tomorrow I am going out on the bike for a few hours cos I'm fed up of doing stuff around the house all the time :)
