  1. Anyone extended the DDS connection so you can access it without taking the fairings off, if so, where did you get the plugs & cable from?

    Thanks in advance

  4. Don't forget to twist the wires as it's a can data line

  5. Big thanks! Noticed they were twisted inside the loom. I just ordered some braided cable protector to hold the two twisted wires.
I did find out that the 12v that powers the OBDStar cable needs to power off the bikes battery and not a spare battery…. Frustrating troubleshooting a comm error then a giant aha moment.

  6. I got a male connector for my battery charger connector & put it on the OBDStar 12v cable, i'll try & get some pics later

  7. No need to twist. The two wires carry the K-line and an earth (old school diagnostic). The only Canbus connection is between the ECU and the dash.

  9. Thank you!

  10. Why are there three wires. The diagnostic plug, although a 3 way Superseal connector, only has two wires into it. The centre of what would be the 3 connectors is an earth and the single outside wire is the K-Line. If this was an earlier 996/748 then the diagnostic plug would have 3 wires. The additional 3rd outside wire is the L-Line (even older diagnostics).

  11. It's a false wire, i put an extra wire in so the plug was sealed. Good spot though :upyeah:
