Boiling hot and probably sold out, but got a few pics and it may be on the telly. Even King Carl was in a good mood
He doesn’t look happy Those 9** silhouette bikes look amazing in race trim. Have fun - it’s on my list to do one day.
Be careful if your route includes Milford to Chiddingfold (A283). There has been a sudden outbreak of gas repairs with 3-way traffic lights. If you do get to Petworth, ignore the “Do not use your Satnav sign”, it takes you off into the woods in an attempt to stop Petworth traffic. Head straight through Petworth onto the A285. If you are on a bike follow the signs. There is a helmet and gear deposit for a very “modest” £10 that goes to the Kings Fund. Ducati line-up is amongst the F1 cars in the main paddock. I will be there in the morning and can get you into GRRC tent (by start-line) if needed (07482 339888). It’s got AC
Only just spotted this thread so a little late but be aware average speed cameras have now been installed from cherry tree roundabout Milford all the way through to chichester hall in witley. It’s a built up area with schools so makes sense but it is hardly an accident hot spot so I am unsure why this particular stretch has been targeted specifically. Perhaps it has been identified as a good source of revenue for the council. I am not sure where the cameras start again going into chiddingfold.
Yeah, I have yet to find the “pair” for that camera as you enter/exit Chiddingfold by the golf course. The multiple “gas main replacement” traffic lights seem to spoil the fun for the revenue police.
I found the pair. Coming South towards Chiddingfold it is on a pole other side of the road right up in the trees. I doubt it can capture a vehicle heading South. Maybe works as the the pair for Northbound. Less than 30 mph is difficult over that distance.
Thanks for sharing, Jeremy Hunt for you! I was out Bramley way today and see there are speed camera’s on the A283 now. I wonder where next.
I was there early Thursday, got to have a good chat with the mechanic who was looking after the Foggy bikes. This 94 race bike was a treat to see. Nice to see the Motorcycle museum was there also, with a collection of Norton race bikes. I managed to get the number for the guy who runs the museum and will hopefully get some more info on why my bike was in their collection.
