  1. so I took the cover off my bike yesterday and found out that my Speedo surround had cracked. I’ve managed to find the clear bottom section does anybody have the outer black surround ??

  2. Did you buy it?

  3. At that price I’d just stick it back together with a dab of superglue and live with it.

  4. Hello Shawn, I think he’s taking the Mickey specially with the crack in it. !
Secondly, I do believe they have to be coded to the ECU and the immobiliser ring on the ignition lock. I only want the uppercase.
There’s a guy in Europe trying to sell them for about €150, which I still think he’s a bit strong ‍♂️

  5. No
Too much money, plus it’s got a crack in it and I do believe it has to be coded to the key and the ECU ?!?

  6. It is a lot of money and I didn’t see the crack until I sent the link.
They must come apart as I had the main round glass that cracked replaced under warranty by Moto Rapido years ago. They didn’t replace the entire clock, just the glass.
I think I’d just glue that plastic corner like others have said.
Parts like this for 749/999 are getting more expensive as the bikes age.

  7. I confirm that the clocks need to be paired to the ecu.
I got mine for 50 quid as I persuaded the seller that the unit is useless unless paired.

  8. My background I used to be as a car painter.
I was just thinking, whether it is possible to get the top of Speedo wrapped ??? I’ve seen cars done really well
And I’ve also seen nightmares !!!
But I’m not sure if such a small detailed part could be wrapped???
Has anyone got any experience of small parts being wrapped?

  9. Maybe hydro dipping would be better for small parts.

  10. Did exactly that, and just swapped over the case.

  11. @evoboy

  12. It can but only if a suitable material can be found that’ll adhere to the substrate and be flexible enough to wrap around it.

  13. Update …..
Well my dash cover has arrived from Italy.
I must say, I’m happy with the fit
    The texture is slightly different.
I changed the buttons from my old cover.
Only because it looks more original with the grey buttons
    It came with black buttons.
    It cost me £131.00 gb
    Delivered
Just to confirm, I have no affiliation to this company at all.
I think it took about nine days to arrive from Italy. I didn’t have to pay any import duty or taxes

  14. That's excellent - didn't realise one could buy these.

  15. Looks like SLS nylon 3D printed.
