R1 throttle mod on 999

  1. Tglhe 999 had a twin cable and most Ducati’s from then on.... it also has as standard zero to hero of over 90 degrees... the 998 single cable is 67 ... I suspect you have a single cable hence its 67 degrees... about as quick as you need

  4. I bet the housing is the same as a 998... maybe the throttle grip tube is different for a more upright bike... see if the part numbers are the same as a 998

  5. 2003 998 and S4R throttle assemblies have same part number and the book shows a single cable

  6. Cheers, so no then. Guess I’ll have to buy a domino one

  7. Not really sure how i missed this...! reading through the thread some people are saying its great, others arent and a few have gone the domino way....anyone have any comparisons?? I was always planning originally on getting a domino quick action eventually but it went off my radar....is the Domino still the quicker option?

  8. Rightly so equivalent to the base domino cam?

  9. Not so worried a out the cheapest option..... Hate buying twice! The domino gives a few options...that being said I'm not going on a track...

  10. So that didnt work....pulled it all apart...had to grind a bit off the side of the throttle as it was too tight...while it fitted - it just spun round the opposite way... ie no lock...should have just got a Domino..!

    (got the exact part number....)
