  1. Tourmalet tomorrow. Should be epic.
    Another Ben Healy stage perhaps?

  2. Mont ventoux tomorrow unless I’m losing my marbles lol

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  3. Correct my mistake.
Still going with the same stage winner :)

  4. If he can get away then maybe but don’t reckon he’ll be able to so my money is on Pogacar although I’d like to see a battle with Vignegaard

  5. Prices have been ludicrous for several years. Considering the decline in cycle sales, with some stores going kaput, it makes no sense to me.

Cycle clothing prices are little better, with various jerseys costing £200+ :astonished:

  6. Middle aged men in Lycra - disposable income driving the prices of people dumb enough to pay them.

The price of bikes is insane if you compare them with motorbike materials and technology. £1,000’s more to save 5gms

  7. This really made me laugh:

In case you have not been watching the Tour de France I am going to fill you in. The overall leader is a skinny white guy named Today Focaccia. He’s 26 but looks 14. Any time anyone comes close to matching his speed, he just pedals faster.

  8. The advent of carbon frames had a massive hand in pricing and then the hysteria of 2012 and Wiggins added to it. As above “lifestyle” brands like Rapha appeared with pricing to match. I don’t buy any cycling clothing now and never did buy any Rapha so no idea if it’s any good either. I just used to buy the club kit each year we put an order in……

  9. Anyone remember Dave Lloyd well he built me a new road bike I. The mid 90s fully made to measure etc and with full Campag super record, magic heliums etc and was under £2k if I remember correctly but that was not a cheap bike really at the time. Still got it and still looks smart although no carbon and no disc brakes give the game away

  10. Can't wait for todays stage, i rode Ventoux about 9 years ago in 35 degree heat and loved it

  11. Those prices actually make football shirts seem reasonable, and as a football fan I think our shirt prices are ridiculous.

  12. Just seen how much flat terrain there is before we get to MV. May have to reconsider…

  13. Yeah agreed but I am making the assumption UAE or Visma would like their boy to win so again assuming they’ll manage any breaks even if it means going hard(er) from the bottom to reel them in

  14. Richmond Park (aka London Velodrome) is where the cool kids go with all the right on gear.

  17. Onley ahead of Rog after 16 stages wasn’t what I was expecting to see.
Lipowitz extremely impressive too but slightly more expected.

  19. Old school steel frames are my fav, Sons going on a build your own frame session soon. £2500 for a 10 day course as he wants a particular style that you just can't build in the usual 5 day sessions.

  20. Yeah definitely old school nowadays that's for sure. I remember the days where if you had a 753 bike it was something very special....
