Hey All I purchased a XDiavel S, and noticed in the paperwork i have a biketrac installation card and a certificate, but the old owner is not aware of it. Possible another owner had it installed. Does anyone know how i can check if its installed and if so, is it transferable. Thanks
Thanks for this, i called biketrac and yes its already installed i just need a subscription but they can see my bike so its all setup. I also seen a datatag label on the bike and managed to get that confirmed with datatag and transfer to me. Funnily enough the previous owner did not mention these security devices were already installed and dont think he even knew, so happy days
When not in use, you’ll need to keep the bike on a battery maintainer, the biketrac is power hungry. Andy
When you get it working, make sure you put it in service mode if you are doing anything with your bike, if you move your bike even slightly, they ring immediately to see if all is ok. You can geofence, but I have found that can move. I think Biketrac is pretty good. And as Andy says, keep it on a trickle charger.
A Biketrac unit is a useful bonus to find on your new bike. Please with mine, transferred it from my old Multi to my Pikes Peak, 7 years old and still providing good service. You need to get used to using service mode whenever you touch the bike or are transporting the bike without the ignition on (ferry, chunnel etc.). As said, something like an optimate will keep it charged. I got a solar one with the panel on the roof of my garage. Mine lasted about 5 weeks before it pinged me to let me know that the bikes battery was getting low (you can set a threshold voltage for this).
