Hi all I’m looking to buy a Ducati monster 1100 2013 for when I pass my test reg EX13FYT it has almost 20k miles ok it and has 5 previous owners and has a full service history from date of first purchase from superbike factory Crawley, is there anything I should be worried about for a machine this old with a fair few miles , also anything I should be worried about concerning superbike factory. Thank you
This is one review..... Why not post a wanted on here? For a first bike it's a bold choice, if I was jumping that way I'd want to buy one from an enthusiast who knew the bike well. Buyer beware..... Good luck. Upt. Please be careful of purchasing a bike. They don’t return calls, no updates and when you try to get help and support, not even the manager of customer care wants to talk to you. The customer service is non-existent. I wish i never bothered even trying this company as once they’ve got your money, customer care ends. The bike didn’t come with any paperwork so i don’t know what service was completed. Please think twice before purchasing. I have the name of the manager who blatantly doesn’t want to talk to me as all i wanted to inform her is that her staff are a reflection on her and it’s absolutely diabolical to treat paying customers this way. Especially as i only wanted to talk about resolving the issue so i can get my bike back. Extremely rude customer service. I would’ve given zero stars if it was an option
I have never dealt with them myself but a number of friends have (not crawley branch) and they only say bad things. The Monster is a great bike but you may be better advised to start your biking career with a smaller capacity version, the 1100 can be an animal when poked with the wrong (or right) stick. this isnt a rule just a personal observation.
Hope you find a lovely bike but steer well clear of some not so helpful dealerships we could mention…..as already mentioned.
