Hi,all .Hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying the fine weather. I have been looking at the last edition 1299R and have seen two examples with less than a 500 miles on . I noticed that the suspension does not seem to have any electronic aids?. I think that the price seems a bit salty, but if I bought one of would not be an investment as I plan to use it. Any user's thoughts on the bike?. Cheers.
Some will tell you it’s not a proper ‘R’ because it’s not an homologation special and never raced but IMO, it is probably the finest evolution of the Ducati L twin engine. Yes, no electronic suspension and better for it. When it was launched you got the ‘Ducati marketing mining your pocket’ but time has shown it is a special bike. Andy
I can't answer that question for you, my sports bike riding days are long gone but for me, I’m inclined to say probably yes, maybe even better than my Panigale V4 Speciale Andy
The last L Twin of what is probably the best looking of the Panigale range to date in my view - would happily have that to admire but as you say for same money 2 1299 S's or a brand new V4S.
Do it. Best looking panigale ever made behind the 899 and worth every last penny (especially if you intend on riding it).
Agree mate. No way would I have a bike with aero on ,look a right Pillock at the local cafe. I would have an earlier v4s..
A beautiful FE recently went through the Collecting Cars auction. Can’t remember what it made but the gavel definitely came down. I was tempted to have a bid. I’d have been killed if another bike appeared in the garage. Pah…
