Several years ago, I went to a vehicle recovery compound to get some belongings from my written off car. Looking at some of the damaged vehicles in the compound, the guys there said as many as 80% of the vehicles they recovered after an incident had unroadworthy tyres that were the primary cause for the loss of control of the vehicle. Yes, with Red Bull stands, pop art decoration, loud drum and bass with all sorts of sponsorships and minigames to sell to the punters along with a 'winter wonderland' ticketed entrance. Along side the numerous paramedical and emergency services scattered throughout the jump with politicians stood by to claim victory for putting such an event together for the 'people'. Ha,ha. When I was working my last office was in York Way, half way down the right hand side of Kings Cross station and had to walk back to Euston to catch the train home. Best time was 13 minutes. My sons struggled to keep up the pace.
