I have been trying to buy some parts from the "Back to Classics" online shop. It told me I had to create an account which I duly did and then activate it when they sent me an email. A week later I have yet to receive any email so cannot access my account to buy the parts I need. I sent them an email using the address on their website last Monday but have not had any response. I beginning to wonder if they are still trading. Can anybody shed any light on this or suggest another way of contacting them (other than phone)?
I have found them to be good, but it is the holiday season and small shops might just close for holidays
I must admit I'd be surprised if they had gone out of business... I wonder if they have an extended summer holiday. Failing that have you checked your junk mail folder to see if their replies have been erroneously filtered out? I'd have thought the account activation would be automated.
Holiday was my first thought but would have hoped they might put something on the website. Continually check junk mail after some awkward experiences in the past. I had thought it would be automated and there might have been a glich which is why I emailed them.
I've used them a couple of times recently: The first time I ordered some parts for the forks and eventually cancelled the order after 3 weeks as they hadn't arrived. I called them twice and each time was told they would be posted, but they never came, so I found them somewhere else. The second time was for some fork springs which I just couldn't get anywhere else. I called first to check they were in stock - they were - so I ordered them and they arrived about 3 weeks later and they were fine. Clearly, they don't rush to send stuff out, but they get there eventually.
