I’ll be marshalling at Woodham Hill from Friday. I should be easily recognised, I’ll be in orange I understand the spectator area just before the stand at the chicane has been extended. Andy
I’ve always wondered whether you get to pick up “souvenirs” from the crashes you deal with as a marshall or is it all handed back/binned?
Most of the debris is just that, debris. Broken foot rests, broken fairing, knee sliders and lots (and lots) of visor tear offs, mostly just get binned. The odd, small person, trophy hunter sometimes gets lucky The transponders and cameras that become detached, broken dashes, snapped handle bars and major parts that become detached in the bigger incidents, are recovered to the pits. Andy
Just seen a statement released by Bennetts BSB, reminding teams and riders of the MSVR Medical Code (Fitness to Race). Glenn Irwin, Tommy Bridewell and Charlie Nesbit are currently on the “unfit list” and will be required to present themselves to the Chief Medical Officer at the Thruxton medical centre for a “fitness to ride” assessment prior to FP1 on Friday. That could scupper Irwin’s plans. Andy
I cannot get there at the weekend but could go tomorrow for practice - not been before so unsure if that would be worth the punt?
Here’s the timetable. Friday is a very busy day, with bikes on track throughout the day, often only 5 minutes between sessions. Weather looks good but there is no cover for the majority of the spectator areas, sun screen and a wide brim hat or umbrella is the order of the day. You can’t get round the whole circuit but there are some good areas to view from. Andy
No doubt it’s those pesky “soccer fans” again if you listen to one or two biffs on here (you know who you are ). https://www.crash.net/bsb/news/1078...im-death-threats-following-his-split-bsb-team
Seems those that had injury concerns have all been passed *fit to race. https://docs.msv.com/Session-4387.pdf
Enjoyed going today. Interesting noise limits compared to attending a IAM skills day there. I was surprised 1, by the speed of R&G British Talent Cup runners and 2, by the noise variation between different bikes and also the noise level vs the speed of some bikes. I really liked the V4 sound. Best £5 I have spent in a long while.
Superb race one. Max cook throwing all kinds of shapes, the champ showing why he’s got the number one plate and fair play to TB46 after that crash at Brands. Leon’s transponder throwing all sorts of shite onto the leaderboard too lol. More of the same tomorrow please.
Well done Danny. Amazing what you can achieve when you stick your elbows out a bit more than you usually do. Hope Scott Ogden was watching it.
Good weekends racing. Chuffed for Danny. GI#2 off the back a bit. Bike familiarity or injury hangover? And a nice P1 for Harrison Dessoy #55 in Sportbikes.
Crazy how SR4 is ahead of him in the championship after coming into it 2 rounds ago. Decision well and truly justified by PBM.
