Yes, I finally got the USB port earlier this week. It has a bracket on the steering stem, I have circled the hole for the screw in this image.
The rubber collar that comes with the OEM Inside the fairing or outside. Got the parts today will fit it tomorrow.
Don't know if it's correct, since I didn't find any instructions, but I mounted it outside the fairing. Between the fairing and that retaining piece. I found it easiest to mount the port to the fairing first and then squeeze the rubber in place by pressing on the port from the inside of the fairing.
Yeah had a look at the parts and indeed I think tu U shaped thing is the one keeping it in place. There is a groove in the USB socket where the U-shaped one "locks" indeed outside and the rubber gap underneath the U-shaped to keep everyting in place. Even the mounting screw is included. Will install it tomorrow evening with a couple of cold ones Tack igen !
Eesier than what I tought. - remove the side panels rounfd the steering stem to get access. - plug ad play the OEM unit - fix the USB to the"fairing" yes U-sahped plasting thingy will lock the USB socket and the gap to where it needs to be - fixi The actual USB transformer with the screw supplied - ude a cable tie to fix the connector. - close all the panels. There seems to be enough juice for quadlock wireless and Iphone14. So not a biggie fairing screws can be a pain tought.
